Professional portable color measurement with UV capability
The SD-700 is a high-precision portable grating spectrophotometer designed for professional color measurement, color matching and quality control. Its d/8 optical system supports both specular-component-included (SCI) and specular-component-excluded (SCE) measurement, helping teams evaluate intrinsic color as well as the influence of surface appearance.
Combined LED and UV illumination supports measurement with UV included or excluded. This makes the instrument suitable for conventional color work and for samples whose appearance is affected by fluorescence or optical brighteners. Switchable 8 mm and 4 mm measurement apertures, camera-assisted positioning, onboard storage and USB/Bluetooth communication support dependable use in laboratories, production environments and the field.
Why UV capability matters
Some materials change appearance under UV energy because they contain fluorescent whitening agents, optical brighteners or UV-responsive colorants. The SD-700 lets users assess those samples with UV included or excluded, supporting more meaningful comparison of samples, standards and production output where this behaviour matters.
